Program Window Layout

For most photo products, the program interface of the photo software is split into the following main areas:


 

Menu Bar

for controlling the software.
 

Toolbar

containing the icons for editing the various page elements (photos, texts, page layouts etc.).

SELECTION AREA

Selection options

To open the directories overview for photos

and list boxes for other element types.

Possibly "Download more".

Workspace

this is where the photo product is created and edited before ordering.

View options for the workspace

Page selection area

For products with several pages
(photo books, calendars, etc.),
there are thumbnail views of all pages
to help you choose the page for the workspace.

Otherwise this field will be empty.

Product features

Button to open and edit the product features.

"Add to basket"

Places the currently open product in the shopping basket for ordering.

Preview display

Thumbnails to select the required elements.

Preview and paste tools

Choosing the element type

e.g. "Photos", "Page Layouts", "Background", etc.

The "Menu bar" always stays the same.

If you have a wide screen, the "Page selection area" will appear automatically on the right-hand side of the window, so you have as large a "Workspace" as possible.

The other areas may have slightly different contents depending on the chosen photo product and editor.
